Wing IDE 4.0.3 released

Wingware has released version 4.0.3 of Wing IDE, an integrated development environment designed specifically for the Python programming language.

This release includes the following changes:
  • Added ability to save and load unit test results
  • Added ability to run unittest tests from the command line and save the results for loading into Wing
  • Allow access to the search engine and source analysis from the scripting API
  • Provide optional reminder when Support+Upgrades is expiring
  • Added copy-selection-or-line command
  • Fixed about 36 bugs in source analysis, refactoring, and other features

  1. I find the IDE very good.. The bottom windows (message, shell, etc ..) - that area is a bit too crowded.

    Also can the Syntax and API help (Source Assistant) be improved.

  2. You can remove tools you don't want by right-clicking on the tabs, or move them around in the same way. What specifically do you want to see improved in Source Assistant? Thanks!

  3. Is there a way to rearrange the Notebook tabs on Wing IDE? I am trying WingWare out but can't find a way to do it. Thank you.

  4. Not currently. We plan to add that in the future (as part of a general reworking of the GUI for Wing 5). Thanks.
